My appologies, It has been entirely too long since I have posted a blog, so I may do a couple now in a row.
My reasons for not posting are because I have been swamped with work. I work 2 straight weeks up to Christmas and was away for New years and just haven’t had the time lately.
Anyways, alot has been happening lately. I got a new tattoo on the back of my neck so that brings me up to a total of 2. woop.
This is going to be a hybrid post of games/book/music/graphic novels/film. I will do one of each of what I have played, which I will give a recommendation rating out of 5. (Spock 5 icons)
Game:
Left 4 Dead 2

Console: Xbox360
About: Set in the Southern states of America around the same time as the first game. 4 all new, all playable characters. Its a co-op First person shooter for those that have not played the first. Again like the original, its based in an apocalyptic pandemic world where you, and 3 other characters fight your way through the infected zombies. Its levels are broken up with save points known as “Safe Houses”. With several different modes (all with online gameplay enabled. Left 4 Dead2 retains the three game modes of the original game — Campaign, Versus, and Survival—and adds a new game mode called Scavenge.
Comments: I really enjoyed Left 4 Dead, and I have been long awaiting this game. With all new infected, better weapons, the ability to bring dead characters back to life with the Defibrillator, and longer levels it is essentially great. However, it is ALOT harder than the first and unless playing with a full team of people online it is pretty hard to survive. That being said it is really enjoyable. I like that it has more of a storyline, and the characters interact more which is interesting. I do however prefer the other characters (Mainly Zoey).

Music:
Now, Now Every Children
Members: Cacie (Vocals, Guitar, Keyboard) , Brad (drums, vocals, various other things). Live Members include: Britty (Keyboard), Jess(Guitar), Christine (Bass, Keyboard)
About: Indie band from Minneapolis Minnesota, they combine the awesome power of Cacies voice and an incredible fusion of keyboard and guitar to create this unique sound that I could listen to over and over and over for hours.
Comments: I saw them play in Dublin in early December and I have to say they were so incredible. It blew my mind. I would give anything to see them play again. They unfortunately only got a half hour set. I would LOVE to see them play a longer set. Cacie really interacted and it was so incredible. I really could not fault one thing about their set. They are very committed to their fans aswell and are always interacting through Myspace/Twitter/Facebook/Stickam/nnec.com. They are, by far one of my favourite bands. Go on over to their site and spread them some love, theres a link to their myspace in the picture. I bought their Vinyl at the concert and protected it with my life through the whole thing as i was in the pitt – scary stuff.
Favourite Song: I have been listening to Friends With My Sister and We Know Martha Webber alot.

Graphic Novel:
Fables Series

Author: Bill Willingham
About: PLEASE DO NOT WIKI! It will give away spoilers and trust me, this is a series to read. Basically, the Fables characters, which are all characters from fairy tales (Snow White, Big Bad Wolf, Cinderella etc etc) are all living in the Mundy world, and have been living in New York City as they have been driven from their “Homelands” by an evil adversary. They have all banded together in the hopes of one day reclaiming said homelands. King Cole is the Mayor, and Snow White is his right hand man, or woman rather. The Big Bad Wolf has reformed and is now in human form and is the sheriff of Fabletown.
Comments: Thats the basic jist, the storylines change and develop and my god is it amazing! I can’t say I have ever enjoyed a Graphic Novel as much as I enjoy Fables. I mean I am positively in LOVE with this series. It is incredible, and in my opinion has everything. If you haven’t read this series, you must start.

Film:
Sunshine Cleaning

Cast: Directed by – Christine Jeffs
Rose – Amy Adams
Norah – Emily Blunt
Joe – Alan Arkin
Oscar – Jason Spevack
Mac – Steve Zahn
About: (From IMDB) In order to raise the tuition to send her young son to private school, a mom starts an unusual business — a biohazard removal/crime scene clean-up service with her unreliable sister.
Comments: I really loved this film. It was so sweet, yet overly, funny yet had its serious moments. The Chemistry between all the actors was so amazing and believable. I love Emily Blunt, she is amazing. Amy Adams I have always had a soft spot for and Alan Arkin always cracks me up. It was such a great mixture and I really enjoyed this film. However, I am pissed that they cut the Lesbian romance with Emily Blunt out of the film. (Side note, how incredibly stunning is Emily Blunt in every role she plays?) However at least they left in the overtones.

Well no, not really – I’m ashamed to admit it but I’ve yet to read The Zombie Survival Guide (or World War Z for that matter). I should be smacked.
Will have to check out the band too. Been trying to try out a lot of new music lately, so I’ll add it to my list. <3
Yeah =) So glad you did.
Do, they are excellent, you can pick them up anytime and read them too.
I can give you a huge list of music if you want? I’ve got so much >_< I have a slight addiction.
I have to continue with Fables actually, stopped after 4 or something? Now that the holidays are over I may have monies to buy more.
And I know I have to read them, I don’t know why I haven’t yet! XD
Absolutely, send me suggestions. I’m trying out at least 20 new albums (that’s the goal in my head anyway, in reality I think it’s gonna be a lot more ^_^)
